Les Willis is currently an Executive for State Farm Insurance Companies in Bloomington, Il. He is originally from Chicago and in addition to Illinois, he’s worked in Texas, Indiana and Toronto, Canada. Les received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bradley University. He earned the Chartered Property and Casualty (CPCU), Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Associate in Premium Auditor (APA) designations. He also serves as Operations Chair on the Auto Insurance Plan Services Office (AIPSO) Board and on the Executive Committee for the Property Insurance Plan Services Office (PIPSO) board.
Robyn Stewart has spent over a decade working as an engineering consultant and project manager in the Telecommunications industry for major infrastructure companies such as Ericsson and network operator T-mobile. Throughout her career, Robyn encountered so few women engineers and even fewer executives, that she became very passionate about empowering youth, especially girls, to pursue STEAM careers. She now works with several nonprofit and community-based organizations whose mission is to provide educational opportunities to disadvantaged youth.
Errica Jackson is Founder of Elevated Events by Errica, which creates and designs one of a kind events that reflect the clients taste and personality. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2000 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix in 2011.
Deveraux R. Hubbard is the Senior Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Peoria, Illinois. Pastor Hubbard has served at St. Paul Baptist Church since May of 1997. Pastor Deveraux R. Hubbard was licensed as a minister of the gospel in 1993, ordained in 1997. He received his B.A. from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and his Masters of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, IL in 2004. Pastor Hubbard has served on several community boards in Central Illinois and continues to lead the St. Paul family in partnering with Churches and community agencies to transform the city of Peoria.
Mae Gilliland Wright, PhD
Mae Gilliland Wright holds a Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy in the digital humanities field from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. Mae is also a freelance writer, ghostwriter, and consultant, and has a teaching background in the sciences and humanities. In addition to serving on the ART, Inc. Board of Directors, she is on the ArtsPartners of Central Illinois and Acorn Equality Fund Board of Directors. She has been the chair of ArtPop Peoria since 2015 and serves as a consultant to Peoria Public Art. Mae is a member of Americans for the Arts. In her spare time, Mae enjoys gardening with her husband Jonathan, listening to music, creating glass art in her studio, and watching old MST3K and Monty Python's Flying Circus episodes.
Shanell L McGoy PhD MPH
Shanell L. McGoy Ph.D MPH, a Peoria native, is a product of programming at George Washington Carver Center, Peoria Tri County Urban League, ICC, Bradley University, Peoria Park District and Peoria Players Theatre. She has spent nearly 20 years working in a variety of public health settings across the country. Shanell obatined a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Women's Studies at Spelman College and a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health in Community Health Sciences. She completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and was a Health Policy Leadership Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at the Morehouse School of Medicine.
Dr. Taunya Jenkins
Taunya is the Executive Director of Quest Charter Academy. She hails from Dallas Texas where she earned her double major undergraduate degree from Texas Woman's University in Education and Dance. She danced professionally for Dallas Black Dance Theatre and The Dallas Cowboys. Here in Illinois she works with many arts organizations in various capacities from director, to choreographer to board member. Her Master's degree is in Educational Administration and her Doctorate degree earned in 2016 is also in Educational Administration from Illinois State University.
Kelly Lopotko has worked in the financial services industry for over fifteen years. Her passion is helping her customers succeed and fulfill their banking and financial goals. Her most favorite thing about working with customers, is building a relationship with them. She loves when people say “Kelly’s my banker”! When a customer seeks her out to help them, she know she have done right by them and that makes her very happy. Kelly was born in Galesburg, IL but currently resides in Chillicothe with her husband and three very active boys. She is a graduate of Illinois State University earning her degrees in Finance and Economics. Her favorite things to do in her spare time are spending time with her family, watching her boys splay sports, and going on vacations.
